Access Eni's High Performance Computer, one of the most powerful in the world

Eni’s Call4Innovators aims at supporting the development of computational methods, that are both innovative and possibly energy-preserving, to simulate systems and components at different scales and solve technological and engineering problems that will contribute to advancing the decarbonization of industrial activities as well as the path to energy transition.

Benefits

By applying to Call4Innovators, candidates will have the possibility to use Eni’s HPC6 supercomputer, currently among the top 6 supercomputers in the world, with the following benefits:

Free access to HPC resources
The opportunity to use a supercomputer at no cost, saving significant resources.
Accelerated innovation
The chance to leverage advanced HPC resources to accelerate the progress of their research projects and gain a significant competitive advantage in their sector.

Eni is looking for proposals that demonstrate:

Scientific relevance and credibility
The solutions shall be scientifically sound and credible, contributing bringing valuable insights to the field.
Clarity and consistency
Applications shall be clear, consistent, and complete, providing a comprehensive overview of the proposal.
Originality and novelty
Solutions shall advance the state-of-the-art in the relevant sector.
Impact
Solutions shall have a remarkable technological, economic, and societal impacts.
Feasibility
Proposals shall be feasible and include appropriate resource allocation and team skills.
Resources need
Applications shall demonstrate the need for large allocations in computing time and data storage.
Accelerated computation
Preference will be given to proposals utilizing GPU-enabled over CPU-based computations.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Proposal shall contribute to identifying solutions that target SDGs.
